Online Payments

Taking card payments from a Caribbean business.

This is the part that stops most people. The tools everybody recommends often do not cover this region, and the advice online is years out of date. Here is the honest version.

The wall

Stripe does not support St. Kitts and Nevis.

It is not on Stripe’s supported country list, and neither are most of its neighbours. That single fact quietly ends a lot of “just add a payment button” plans, usually after somebody has already built the site.

So the question is never “shall we use Stripe”. It is which of the routes that do work here fits your bank, your volume and where your customers are.

The routes that exist

Which one is right depends on your business.

A regional aggregator

Services built for this region let you take Visa and Mastercard, QR and payment links without your own merchant account, settling to a local bank. Fastest route for most small businesses.

Your own merchant account

Your bank can set one up, in EC and US dollars. More paperwork and usually better rates once volume justifies it.

Deposit-only

You do not always need full checkout. Taking a deposit to hold the slot solves most of the problem and is far simpler to set up.

A foreign entity

Sometimes suggested, rarely the right first move for a small local business. We will say so rather than sell you a structure you do not need.

How we handle it

We work it out with you before anything is built.

Payments get decided at the start of a project, not bolted on at the end. That order matters, because the answer changes what the site needs to do.

We are not a payment provider and we do not take a cut of your transactions. We set up the route that fits, wire it into the booking flow, and test it with real money before you go live.

If the honest answer is that you should start with deposits over WhatsApp and add full checkout later, that is what we will tell you.
